Comedy has been a central part of our diverse Festival since the first edition in 2012. We’re delighted to announce that Andy Stedman will be compering our 2018 event again.
An incredibly popular local comedian, singer/ songwriter, renowned for cleverly mixing songs and audience banter to welcome each act, Andy’s natural warmth easily connects with the audience and his versatile performance entertains people of all ages
“I don’t want to over-use the adjective ‘great’, but Andy was a great compere. He connected with the audience and wrote two songs for a couple who had been dating a week… Very very funny comic.” – Martin Mullaney, Comedy CV
The Comedy Club Headliner will be the star of stage, screen and, of course, Eastenders – BOBBY DAVRO. Bobby is one of the UK’s most versatile, experienced and downright cheeky celebrity comedians and impressionists and is in constant demand as a major attraction and high-profile personality.
Cally is a natural and hilarious storyteller, full of feisty, full on punchline-rich material. A rollercoaster ride of anecdotes, observations and stuff even your best mate wouldn’t admit to!

“James is one of the most original and fun MCs I’ve worked with!” – Dane Baptiste
Ben Norris lies on the periphery of laddishness; part lairy blokishness, part middle-class haughtiness, with an acerbic attitude and a well-stocked arsenal of sharp lines.
“Strolls through his material with the laid back charm of a Jazz saxophonist” – The Stage
“…a splendidly funny live stand-up” – Timeout
Ed is blisteringly funny and has deliciously dry and astute observational humour with spot on delivery. Refreshingly different, effortlessly cool and immediately likeable.
“Blisteringly quick fire and jam-packed with jokes” – Broadway Baby
“Ed Night stands at the dawn of the new age of stand up… at 21 years of age, [he] has no right to be as good as he is” – Fest
